I’m Paula, a multidisciplinary designer, mainly focusing on prints, illustrations, graphic design, social media and fashion.
I am a Brazilian currently living in Germany. I love to travel and get to know new cultures, aesthetics and people. I’ve also lived in Sydney and Tokyo, and each of these cities has taught me something about myself and about design.
In Australia I discovered my passion for prints and the value of incorporating hand-drawn motifs into my designs. In Japan I became obsessed with illustrations and realised that beauty standards are all about perspective.
Each city I lived in has broadened my view of the world and helped me become better in every aspect of my life. I learned how to adapt to new situations, how to communicate and understand different cultures, how to mould myself to any new challenge with good mood and professionalism.
In 2010, I moved from Porto Alegre in the south of Brazil to São Paulo, in order to pursue my passion for fashion. There I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and my postgraduate degree in Fashion Management. I’ve worked in the industry since 2009, always pursuing refinement in my craft as well as a sound business understanding.
Throughout the years, I took many courses: painting, video editing, animation, calligraphy, sculpture, Ikebana and many, many others. I believe that the need to improve oneself never ends and I’m constantly pursuing this goal. Taking courses, even though they seem to not be related to my trade, allows me to see the world with fresh eyes and inspires me to look outside of my immediate circle.
In 2017, I moved to Munich and ever since I’ve been working as a freelancer designer. I’ve partnered with many companies around the world, always incorporating my personality and passion into every project. I love colours and shapes, love to draw and to paint, love both digital and old-fashioned pen-and-paper design – anything creative, I’m in!
