In 2012 I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design. I always loved clothes and all the stories that fabrics, colours and shapes were able to tell.
Earlier in my career, I mainly worked as a fashion designer, developing collections and overseeing their production. Here are some selected works.
Over the course of 4 years, I developed Timberland’s Brazilian collection while working at Tux Design. I was responsible for the creation and sampling production, overseeing the apparel and accessories collections. The product range included placement prints, T-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, pants, shorts and other items.
This was an interesting challenge, as it was important to adapt the brand’s North American origins to the tropical climate of Brazil.
During this project I worked with different teams from Tux, Timberland and several suppliers. I developed my management skills by coordinating processes among them and working closely with people to successfully develop collections.
I developed the uniforms for the Mexican restaurant La Central, in São Paulo. The uniforms needed to be practical, cost-effective and, most of all, show a personality of mixed cultures. We decided on a T-shirt with the logo, together with jeans, snickers and a denim apron – all finished with a black bandana that could be used as an accessory. The kitchen staff wore a white jacket with an embroidery of the restaurant’s logo.
During the course of a year I developed the concept and design of the new visual direction of the Brazilian brand West Coast.
The brand wanted a change of scenery, with a new identity that could communicate with a younger and more current audience. I was responsible for the design and production oversight of the entire collection, including logo, haberdashery, shoes, placed prints, T-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, pants and accessories.
This was a really nice challenge that allowed me to work with people from different backgrounds and expand my knowledge in the fashion industry. Here I also acted as team lead by being responsible for the development of the collection.
During a course of one season, I designed the active’s wear collection for Go New brand. This project was specially interesting, as the production was done overseen, therefore allowing me to develop a deeper understanding of the fashion industry.
The collection had T-shirts, prints, pants, shorts, jackets and accessories – both in women and menswear.
