For this series I selected a few female artists that moved me in some way. I chose to paint them monochromatically, however using various shades in each hue, representing the multitude of stories in them.
For Yayoi Kusama, from Japan, pink was a clear choice to illustrate her personality and country. Brazil, my homeland, was pictured in green and took form as Clarice Lispector. Frida Kahlo, from Mexico, has always moved me. Her story and Mexico were pictured in orange.
